I feel like this quote sums it up pretty nicely. In some cases, saying “sorry” is just not enough.

Chuck has physically and emotionally abused Blair and it doesn’t matter if his intentions were “good” or that he “didn’t mean it”, in the end it is what it is - ABUSE.

Blair might have forgiven Chuck but that doesn’t mean that we should forget what he has done or that she should just go back to him like nothing has ever happened.

I’m not sure if I should be angry at or scared for those who defend Chuck’s behaviour or even go so far as saying that BLAIR did something wrong to Chuck by offering herself to his uncle “behind his back”. I am both disgusted and frightened by that reasoning.

Domestic abuse mustn’t be romanticized or defended, there is NEVER a reason for violence especially not against someone you claim to love.
